Light boxes, were one of the first formats, that I considered when I began seriously thinking about how to display the work. I have always loved slides, negatives, film and illuminated signage. There is just something special about having an image, with light shining behind it. And there is just something special about the glossiness, richness and saturation of film. The 12" x 12" illuminated boxes are able to evoke the experience and feel of those formats. In a lit room, the art is noticeably luminous and in darkness, the light bathes the room in color, creating beauty and atmosphere. The illuminated light boxes display well together or alone, creating illuminated windows into another world.
